For my birthday Billy decided to take me to Alpine for the weekend and finish a trip we made last year for our anniversary when the really bad fire happened in
Monahans and we had to discontinue our trip and head home. So we went back to the museum, which is not real big but very interesting, lots of info about the area, the inhabitants over the centuries and the
archaeological digs going on in the area. We relaxed at the hotel pool and hot tub, we ate dinner at a place called Alpine City Limits which was outstanding, and discovered that the Theater of the Big Bend was having their
opening weekend this weekend so we went to the play "Will Rogers Follies" which was great and the added bonus was that President Brooks, brother Clark and his daughter Maddie were in the play. They did and outstanding job. The first time I met Maddie she reminded me of Sydney and now I kind of understand why. She doesn't look anything like her, she just has this demeanor about her, and I guess it is that essence of the stage. The next morning we went to church in Alpine which is always a treat. They have so many young families there with young kids and babies. It is great.
We are at the museum and yes he is on the phone but there were only a few calls so not too bad.
I've always loved his sense of style!
just hangin' out in the hot tub
here's a really good picture of Billy!
So guess what I got for my birthday!
Fun, fun. Who's taking the pictures of you in the hot tub though?
ReplyDeleteI like Alpine a lot. I wish we could take more trips out there, but it's not on the way anywhere for us anymore.
Oh, and the last comment was Leanne, not Jesse. He was signed in for some reason.
