Great anniversary

Friday was mine and Billy's 27th wedding anniversary. We made it without a fire, it was awesome. We spent the day working around the house, he tilled my garden for me and I planted part of it but left some for Maebeth and the boys because they like to garden, especially Nolan. I had to go to work in the afternoon but he worked on my swim tank, putting up a fence and gate so we have no accidents. I closed the store early and we went out to eat at Red Lobster, which was where we went for our first Valentines date and where I knew I was in deep trouble. Then we went to Sam's and bought him a Gramin because he loves my navigation system in the Tahoe and if he has one in his truck, he won't mind driving in the horrible traffic where our daughters live. And he decided I needed an electric griddle so we bought that too, even though he had already given me a great gift. He had my swimming tank coated so it wouldn't rust up anymore and I can't wait for the kids to be able to go swimming now. Then we came home and just spent a great night together. Saturday the wind was so bad we didn't do too much outside. He put some ribs on his new pit. And we did go to the ranch in the afternoon but guess what. He had to go to a fire. They had one north of Pyote about the time we got to the ranch. We got everything fed and he dropped me by the house so he could go. When we were at the ranch we just knew it was going to ran. Well, it did, finally and thank goodness because if it hadn't been for that they were going to be in trouble with this fire, the way the wind was switching back and forth. Billy said God just decided they had worked hard enough, opened up the clouds and let it pour. I fell asleep before he got home. So after a great Easter today I can say that our anniversary turned out great, we had a fire but not on Friday!!

  3. I know, I can't count. It is 28. I don't know why anyone trusts me with money or accounting stuff because I am always messing up numbers. It's been a wonderful 28 years. The best thing Dad and I can hope for you girls is that you can experience the same joy that we have experienced. It has not always been easy, it came with a lot of work, compromising, forgiving, repenting, and lots and lots of personal and united prays. It's been an amazing journey for sure but one with no regrets and one that we can look back on and see that we have truly grown and experienced real joy, real love.
That's our wish for each of you.
